Worker App

Your Mobile Workspace

Crew leads and crew members use the Jeero app from the App Store or Google Play. The bottom tab bar has Today, Schedule, Time, Expenses and More. The Expenses tab appears only when your company’s plan includes expense tracking.

What you can do depends on your role:

  • Crew leads run the job: change its status, take photos, fill in forms, add notes, reschedule or skip a visit.
  • Crew members clock in and out, see the day’s jobs and the schedule, and log expenses. They see a job’s client, address and notes but cannot change the job.

Note: Owners and managers can do field work in the same app. More → My field work switches to the crew tabs (without Expenses) and the job buttons a crew lead has, and Back to office returns. For the office side, see Managing on Mobile.

Signing In

Sign in with your email and password, or tap Sign in with Google or, on an iPhone, Sign in with Apple. Accounts are created by your company’s invite; the app cannot create one. If you work for more than one company, you choose which one to work in after signing in.

The app is in English and Spanish. It follows your phone’s language, and you can change it in More → Language.

The Today Tab

Today shows the clock, then today’s jobs in order with client name and address. A job you are en route to, working on, or have paused is highlighted above the list with a View Job button. With expense tracking on your plan, Add Expense and My Expenses are at the bottom. Pull down to refresh.

The Schedule Tab

The Schedule tab is a month calendar with a mark on every day your crew has, or had, visits. Tap a day to see its visits in the order they will be worked, each with its estimated start and end, under a summary of how many jobs there are, when the first starts and when the last should be done. Tap a visit for a quick view of the client, address, time, work items and notes.

It is for looking only: nothing on it starts, finishes or reschedules a job, and it never shows a price. Cancelled and skipped visits are left out. Times are estimates and can change. On the web, the same calendar is under Schedule on the crew pages, next to Today.

Clocking In and Out

The clock is on both Today and Time. Tap Clock In to start your shift and Clock Out to end it; while clocked in, tap Break and then End Break. A timer shows your shift and worked time.

The clock is separate from your jobs: starting or finishing a job does not start or stop your shift. If you forget to clock out, Jeero closes the shift overnight with an estimated time and flags it for your manager to review.

The Time tab also has Today’s Time Log, listing today’s shifts and breaks with their times.

Working a Job

Open a job from Today. If the address is mapped, Navigate opens directions in Google Maps. Crew leads then work through these buttons, which appear one step at a time:

  1. On My Way – when you leave for the site.
  2. Start Job – before photos and pre-start forms appear once you are on your way; complete the required ones, then start.
  3. Pause Job and Resume Job – for interruptions.
  4. Finish Job – after the post-job forms and after photos.

If a required photo or form is missing, a message in place of the button tells you to complete the items above first.

Two more buttons sit below the job:

  • Reschedule – move a visit to another date. The office is notified.
  • Skip Visit – for a visit you cannot do today. It shows before work starts on a job with a single visit; pick a reason (Rain, Locked gate, Customer request, Crew short, Other). The visit comes off your route, the office is told and decides what happens next. The client is not contacted. See Skipping a visit.

Job Photos

Under Before Photos or After Photos, tap Tap to take photo and take the picture with your camera. Tap a photo to view it full-size, or the × on it to remove it. After a job is finished, before photos are locked but after photos can still be added or removed.

Photos and Your Location

If your company checks photo locations, a line above the photos shows Within range, or how far you are from the job site. When you are outside the allowed distance, or your location cannot be determined, Jeero warns you that the photo will be flagged for review and lets you continue. The photo still uploads; nothing is blocked. See Proof of Visit.

Filling Out Forms

When a job has forms attached, Pre-Start Forms appear before you start and Post-Job Forms before you finish. Tap a form to open it, fill in the fields – text, numbers, checkboxes, dates and times, dropdowns, a typed-name signature, photos – and tap Submit. See Form Templates.

Adding Job Notes

Crew leads can add notes under Crew Notes on a job. Notes show your name and are visible to owners and managers, who are notified of new ones. You can edit or delete your own notes.

Submitting Expenses

Expenses need a plan that includes expense tracking.

  • For a job: open the job and tap Add Expense. The job’s Expenses section shows each one as Pending, Approved or Reimbursed.
  • Not for a job: on the Expenses tab tap the + button and leave the job as General expense (no job).

Enter a description, amount and category (Fuel, Materials, Tools, Meals, Lodging, Other); a receipt photo and notes are optional. The Expenses tab lists all your expenses, where you can edit or delete them.

Location Tracking

Your company chooses one of three modes; there is nothing for you to set beyond allowing location access when the app asks.

  • Disabled – no location is recorded.
  • Manual – your location is recorded when you clock in or out and when you change a job’s status.
  • Continuous – in addition, your route is recorded in the background while you are clocked in. Android shows an ongoing “Location tracking active” notification. Recording stops when you clock out.

See Location Tracking.

Notifications

Workers get in-app and push notifications when a job is assigned or reassigned, when the schedule changes (including a cancelled or skipped visit), before a job, and as a daily overview at 6 AM in the company’s timezone. The app can also remind you to clock in when you arrive at a job site. Tapping a push opens the related job.

Turn each type on or off in More → Notification Preferences. The More tab shows a red badge with your unread count. See Notifications.

The More Tab

More shows your name, email, company and role, then My Mileage (on plans with mileage), Notifications, Notification Preferences, Language, Sync Status, Help & Support, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Delete Account and Sign out.

Working Offline

You can keep working with no signal. Clocking in and out, changing a job’s status, skipping a visit, taking photos, submitting forms, logging and editing expenses, and adding job notes are all saved on the phone first and sent when the connection returns, with the time you actually did them.

A line under the header tells you where things stand: that the phone is offline and how many changes are saved on it, that changes are syncing, or that something needs your attention. More → Sync Status lists what is waiting and what the server refused – for example a status change on a visit the office moved in the meantime. Refused photos and expenses can be sent again or discarded; nothing is dropped silently.

Opening the app with no connection keeps you signed in, and screens you loaded recently stay available. New information – a job added by the office, a new schedule – needs a connection to arrive.
