Proof of Visit
When to Use It
Proof of visit is a link you send a customer showing the before and after photos from a finished job, when each was taken, and where. Use it when a customer asks whether you came, when an invoice stalls, or for owners who never see the property.
Only owners and managers can create or revoke a link.
Before You Can Share
The Proof of visit card appears on the job page, below the photos, once the job is Completed and has at least one before or after photo.
To make sure crews always take photos, keep Require before photos (pre-start) and Require after photos (pre-finish) on in Company Setup.
Creating the Link
- Open the job and scroll to Proof of visit.
- Click Create share link.
- Click Copy next to the link. It is shown only once – Jeero does not store it and cannot show it again.
- Paste it into a text, an email, or wherever you talk to that customer.
Or click Email to client and Jeero emails the link to the address on the client. If the client has no email address, Jeero tells you and creates no link.
Note: A job has one link at a time. Create new link and Email to client both replace the current link, and anyone holding the old one loses access. Jeero asks you to confirm first.
What the Customer Sees
The link opens a web page – no login and no app – with your company name, logo, phone and email, showing:
- The visit – the job, when it was completed, and the service address.
- A map – a numbered pin for each photo that recorded a location, plus a pin on the property.
- The photos – under Before and After. Each shows when it was taken, in your company’s timezone, and its map pin number. Clicking a photo opens it full size.
- The invoice, if one has been issued – the amount, whether it is Issued or Paid, and View invoice, which opens a read-only copy. The customer cannot pay from here; paying happens through the link in the invoice email.
The page shows no worker names, internal notes, costs or expenses. It asks search engines not to index it.
What “Taken at your property” Means
Under each photo the page says one of three things:
| What it says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Taken at your property (40 ft away) | The photo geofence check ran and the photo was taken within your radius of the property. The distance is in feet or metres, following your measurement system. |
| Location recorded | The photo has a location, but it did not pass a check: the photo geofence is off, the property has no coordinates yet, or the photo was taken outside the radius. It still gets a map pin. |
| No location recorded | The photo has no location – the phone had none, or it was uploaded without one. No pin. |
To get the first line, keep Photo Geofence on in Company Setup and give the property an address Jeero can place on the map. See Location Tracking for what the geofence checks.
Revoking a Link
Click Revoke link on the job and confirm. The link stops working immediately.
A link also expires on its own after 90 days. The card shows when the link was created and when it expires.
A link also stops working while the job is no longer completed or has no photos left. On the web the card stays on the job with a warning and Revoke link, so you can retire it for good.
From the Mobile App
Owners and managers get the same card in the mobile app, on the job screen under the photos. Create share link opens your phone’s share sheet with the link. Email to client and Revoke link work as on the web.
