Timesheets
How Time Tracking Works
Team members clock in at the start of the day and clock out at the end. Jeero records each shift and break and adds them up per person, per day. Time tracking and timesheets are included on every plan.
Owners and managers can clock in too: on the web through My field work in the sidebar, in the app through My field work on the More tab.
Note: Clocking in and out is separate from jobs. Starting or finishing a job never clocks anyone in or out, and clocking in or out never changes a job’s status.
Clocking In and Out
On the web, the buttons are at the top of the crew dashboard. In the mobile app, they are on the Today and Time tabs (see Worker App).
Tap Clock in to start a shift and Clock out to end it; you are asked to confirm before the shift ends. While clocked in, a live timer shows how long the shift has been running.
You can clock in and out more than once in a day. Each shift is recorded separately and the day’s total adds them together.
Break Tracking
While clocked in, tap Break to start a break and End Break to finish it. You must be clocked in to start a break, and only one break can run at a time. While a break is running, End Break is the only button – end the break before clocking out.
Breaks are recorded separately from shifts. Net work on the timesheet is shift time minus break time.
Missed Clock-Outs
Shifts, breaks and job timers left open from a previous day are closed automatically – overnight, and the next time the worker opens their dashboard or the app.
- A forgotten shift is closed at the worker’s last recorded activity that day. If there is none, it is closed 12 hours after clock-in.
- A forgotten break is closed 2 hours after it started.
The end time is an estimate. The shift carries an Auto-closed badge on the timesheet, and both the worker and the company’s owners and managers get a Shift Auto-Closed notification so the hours can be checked before payroll. See Notifications.
Owner and Manager View
Open Timesheets in the sidebar. The page shows one week (Monday to Sunday) as a grid: a row per team member, a column per day, and each person’s Total and Cost for the week, with a Totals row at the bottom. Days over 8 hours are highlighted. Use the arrows to change week and the search box to find someone by name.
Cost is hours multiplied by the person’s hourly rate. If someone has no rate, a warning appears with a Set rates link, and their hours are left out of the cost. See Costs for the full picture.
Click a name or a day’s hours to open that person’s day:
- Cards for Total shift, Total break and Net work.
- Shifts and Breaks, each with start, end and duration. A shift recorded while the phone had no signal carries an Offline badge – its times come from the phone’s clock.
- Job time, when there is any: work and travel time recorded against jobs that day, linked to each job.
Use the date arrows or the date field to move to another day.
In the mobile app, More > Timesheets shows the same week for crew leads and crew members: net hours per day and a weekly total, with a warning mark on days that have an auto-closed shift.
Employee View
Crew members see only their own time, for today. Today’s Time Log on the web dashboard and on the app’s Time tab lists the day’s shifts and breaks with their times, plus the totals worked and on break.
