Notifications & Alerts

Overview

Jeero keeps everyone on your team informed without anyone having to chase updates. Workers are alerted when jobs are assigned or rescheduled, and owners and managers are alerted when work needs their attention. Notifications can reach you three ways – as a push notification on your phone, by email, and in the app’s notification center – and you decide which channels you want for each type of alert.

How You Receive Notifications

Every notification can arrive through any combination of three channels:

  • Push – a notification on your phone through the Jeero mobile app. Tapping it takes you straight to the relevant job, quote, or invoice.
  • Email – a message to your account email address.
  • In-app – an entry in Jeero’s notification center, which you can open any time to review recent activity.

Push notifications require the Jeero mobile app, which registers your device automatically when you sign in. See Managing on Mobile and the Worker App for more on the mobile experience.

Notifications for Workers

Crew members and crew leads are notified about the things that affect their day:

  • Job assigned – a new job has been added to your crew.
  • Job reassigned – a job has been moved to or away from your crew.
  • Schedule change – one of your jobs has been rescheduled.
  • Pre-job reminder – a heads-up shortly before a job with a locked start time begins.
  • Daily overview – a summary of the day’s schedule.

Notifications for Owners & Managers

Owners and managers are alerted when something needs their attention. These alerts are the core of Jeero’s hands-off oversight – you do not have to watch the dashboard all day.

Work Alerts

  • Job completed – a crew has finished a job.
  • Job note added – a crew lead has left a note on a job.
  • Job rescheduled by crew – a crew lead moved a job to a different day.
  • Job over time – a job is taking significantly longer than its estimated duration. You set the threshold (how many minutes over the estimate triggers the alert) in your company settings. The alert names the job and the crew so you know exactly where to look.
  • Incomplete jobs – a job that should have wrapped up by now is still unfinished, past a grace period. This catches jobs that are running late or were forgotten, so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Photo location issue – a job-site photo was taken away from the job location or without location information, when photo geofencing is enabled. See Location & GPS Tracking.

Sales & Billing Alerts

  • Quote sent, viewed, accepted, or rejected – track where every quote stands.
  • New quote request – a potential client submitted a request through your quote request form.
  • Invoice sent and invoice overdue – stay on top of outstanding payments.
  • Payment received – know the moment a client pays.

Controlling What You Receive

Open Notification Preferences to fine-tune your alerts. You will see your notification types organized into sections – Job Updates, Quotes, Billing, and Other – with a simple grid of toggles.

For each notification type, you can independently turn the In-app, Email, and Push channels on or off. For example, you might keep push notifications on for urgent job alerts but limit billing updates to email only.

By default, all notifications are enabled on all channels. You only see the notification types that are relevant to your role, so the list stays focused on what matters to you.

Tip: If you are getting too many alerts, turn off the push channel for lower-priority notification types while keeping them in your in-app notification center to review on your own schedule.

Company-Wide Alert Settings

In addition to your personal preferences, owners and managers can turn certain owner alerts on or off for the whole company in company settings, and adjust their thresholds:

  • The job over time threshold sets how many minutes past the estimate triggers an alert.
  • The incomplete jobs grace period controls how long after a job’s expected finish time Jeero waits before flagging it.

These settings let you tune Jeero’s alerts to match how your business runs, so you are notified about real problems without unnecessary noise. See Company Setup for where to find them.

The Notification Center

Every notification is also saved in your in-app notification center. Open it to see recent activity, mark individual notifications as read, or mark everything as read at once. Tapping a notification takes you directly to the job, quote, or invoice it refers to.
