Worker App

Your Mobile Workspace

Jeero gives every crew member and crew lead a dedicated mobile app built for the job site. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with your own credentials, and you will see only the information relevant to your role and your assigned jobs.

The app is organized around a simple bottom tab bar – Today, Time, Expenses, and More – so everything you need is one tap away and easy to use one-handed.

Note: Owners and managers see extra tools for scheduling, dispatching, and billing, but they can also do field work in the same app. From the More tab they can tap My field work to switch into the crew experience – clocking in and running their own assigned jobs – and Back to office to return. This guide covers that worker experience, which is the same whether you are a crew member, a crew lead, or an owner or manager working a job.

Signing In

Open the app and enter your email and password to sign in. If you work for more than one company through Jeero, you will be asked to choose which company you are working in – pick the right one and the app loads your jobs for that company. You can switch companies at any time.

The app is available in English and Spanish. It follows your phone’s language by default, and you can change it any time from More → Language.

The first time the app needs them, it will ask permission to send you notifications, use your camera, and access your location. These prompts appear naturally as you use each feature – there is no long setup to get through first.

The Today Tab

The Today tab is your home base. It shows:

  • Your clock status at the top, so you always know whether you are clocked in.
  • Active jobs – any job you are currently en route to, working on, or have paused appears as a highlighted banner with a quick View Job button.
  • Today’s jobs listed in order with the client name and address.
  • Quick buttons to Add Expense or view My Expenses.

Pull down to refresh and pick up any jobs that were added or changed.

Tip: Check the Today tab first thing in the morning to see if any jobs were added or rescheduled overnight.

Clocking In and Out

The clock widget appears on both the Today and Time tabs. Tap Clock In when your workday starts and Clock Out when it ends. While you are clocked in, a live timer shows how long you have been working, and you can tap Break to step away and End Break to come back.

Clocking in and out is completely separate from your jobs – starting or finishing a job does not start or stop your shift, so your time stays accurate no matter how your day flows.

The Time Tab

The Time tab shows your clock controls plus Today’s Time Log – a running list of your shifts and breaks with start and end times and totals. The entry you are currently in is marked as active. If you have not clocked in yet, you will see a reminder to do so.

Working a Job

Open any job from the Today tab to see its details: client, address, and any notes. If the job has a location, tap Navigate to open turn-by-turn directions in your phone’s maps app.

Each job follows a clear, step-by-step workflow. The right buttons appear automatically based on where the job is:

  1. On My Way – Tap when you leave for the job site. The office sees you are en route.
  2. Start Job – Once you arrive, capture your before photos and complete any pre-start forms, then start the job.
  3. Pause Job – Need to stop temporarily? Pause to handle an interruption.
  4. Resume Job – Pick up where you left off.
  5. Finish Job – When the work is done, complete any post-job forms, capture your after photos, and finish.

Every status change is timestamped, giving managers real-time visibility into job progress without needing to call or text.

Tip: Some jobs require certain photos or forms before you can start or finish. If a step is still needed, Jeero shows a short message telling you what to complete first.

Job Photos

Capture before-and-after photos right from the job screen. Tap Tap to take photo, snap the shot with your camera, and it attaches to the job for managers and clients to see. You can tap any photo to view it full-size or remove it if you made a mistake.

Photos and Your Location

To prove work was done on site, Jeero checks your location when you take job photos. A small indicator above the photos tells you whether you are within range of the job site.

If you take a photo while you are outside the job’s area or while your location cannot be determined, Jeero shows a gentle warning – for example, “You are away from the job site. This photo will be flagged for review. Continue?” – and lets you choose to go ahead anyway. The photo still uploads; it is simply flagged so your manager knows to take a closer look. Nothing is ever blocked.

Tip: For the cleanest record, take job photos while you are standing on the property with location turned on.

Filling Out Forms

Some jobs include custom forms – inspection checklists, safety reports, or client sign-off sheets. Pre-start forms appear before you begin and post-job forms appear before you finish. Tap a form to expand it, fill in the fields (text, checkboxes, dates, dropdowns, signatures, and even photo uploads are supported), and submit. Required fields are marked, and once submitted a form is saved as part of the job record.

Adding Job Notes

Crew leads can add notes to a job from the Crew Notes section. Type your observation and submit – notes are timestamped and visible to owners and managers, who are notified when a new note is added. You can edit or delete your own notes.

Use job notes to flag issues, record client requests, or document on-site conditions without needing to call the office.

Submitting Expenses

Job Expenses

Bought materials or supplies for a job? Open the job, tap Add Expense, enter the details, snap a photo of the receipt with your camera, and submit. The expense is linked to that job automatically. You can see its status – pending, approved, or reimbursed – right on the job.

General Expenses

For expenses that are not tied to a specific job – like fuel, meals, or lodging – use the Expenses tab and tap Add. Choose a category, enter the amount and a description, attach a receipt photo, and submit. The Expenses tab lists all your expenses with their receipts and approval status.

Location Tracking

Depending on your company’s settings, Jeero may record your location to help managers see where crews are. There is nothing to configure on your end – your company chooses how this works:

  • Disabled – No location is recorded.
  • Manual – Your location is recorded only at key moments: when you clock in or out and when you change a job’s status (on my way, start, pause, resume, finish).
  • Continuous – In addition to those key moments, while you are clocked in the app records your location in the background so managers can see your route. When this is on, your phone shows an ongoing notification that location tracking is active; it stops automatically when you clock out.

Jeero only tracks location while you are on the clock, and never after you clock out.

Notifications

Jeero sends push notifications to keep you in the loop – when a job is assigned or reassigned to you, when the schedule changes, for pre-job reminders, your daily overview, and more. Tapping a notification takes you straight to the relevant job.

You can fine-tune what you receive in More → Notification Preferences, where each type of alert can be turned on or off for in-app, email, and push. The More tab shows a red badge when you have unread notifications.

The More Tab

The More tab holds your profile, your notifications and notification preferences, the Language setting, and the Sign Out button. Your name, email, and current company and role are shown at the top.

If you are an owner or manager, the More tab also has the My field work / Back to office toggle for switching between the office tools and the crew field experience.

Working Offline

Jeero needs an internet connection to load fresh information and to save your work – clocking in or out, changing a job’s status, uploading photos, submitting forms, and logging expenses all happen live. Recently loaded screens stay visible for a short time if your signal drops, but actions you take while offline will not go through, so reconnect before clocking or updating a job.

Tip: On sites with weak signal, step somewhere with coverage to clock in or finish a job, then carry on with the rest of your work.
