Dashboard
Overview
The dashboard is the first thing owners and managers see after logging in. It gives you a real-time snapshot of today’s field operations: which crews are working, what jobs need attention, and how your estimates are holding up. Think of it as your daily command center.
Needs Attention
At the top of the dashboard, a Needs Attention section highlights jobs that are missing a crew assignment or a scheduled date. A badge next to the heading shows how many jobs need attention, and the whole section collapses and expands when you click the heading – your choice is remembered between visits. The section only appears when there is at least one job to act on.
Each job shows its name, client, status, priority, and exactly what is missing – no crew, no date, or both. Jobs that are scheduled but still have no crew are listed first, since those are the most urgent. A search bar lets you filter the list by job or client name, and longer lists are split across pages.
Click the edit icon next to any job to assign a crew or set a date right away.
Tip: Make it a habit to clear the Needs Attention list at the start of each day. A clean list means every job is assigned, scheduled, and ready to go.
Date Navigation
Below the alerts section, a date picker lets you browse crew schedules for any day. Use the left and right arrows to step through days, or pick a specific date from the calendar. A Today button appears whenever you navigate away from the current date, so you can jump back quickly.
Crew Schedule Cards
Each crew gets its own card showing the day’s jobs in order. The card includes:
- Crew name and job count – a quick sense of workload at a glance.
- Route status badge – shows whether the route is optimized, manually ordered, or stale (meaning jobs changed since the last optimization).
- Missing-address warning – if a crew has jobs but your company has no map location set, a warning icon appears. Routes still build, but they start from the first job instead of your company address. Click the icon to add your company address so routes start from the right place.
- Active job banner – when a crew is currently traveling to or working on a job, a live banner shows which job they are on and their status.
- Team member avatars – each crew member appears as an initials avatar color-coded by status: green when clocked in (with hours worked so far), amber when on break, or grey when not yet started. Click an avatar to view that person’s timesheet for the day. (Team status and the active job banner show only when viewing today.)
- Route stats – after optimization, the card shows total driving distance and estimated drive time.
- Mini route map – a small map previews the day’s stops connected by the planned driving path.
- Job list – jobs are listed in scheduled order with a position number, their status, client name, and estimated start time. Estimated arrival times are prefixed with a tilde (
~); a locked start time shows the exact time with a lock icon instead. Travel time between consecutive stops appears between jobs once a route is optimized.
Searching Crew Cards
A search field above the crew cards lets you filter by crew name, crew lead, job name, or client name. This is useful when you have many crews and need to find a specific one quickly.
Drag-and-Drop Reordering
You can drag and drop jobs within a crew card to change the order they will be completed in. When you manually reorder jobs, the route status updates to manually ordered. You can re-optimize at any time by clicking the optimize button on the card.
Route Optimization
Each crew card has an Optimize button that calculates the most efficient job order for the day. Once optimized, the button is disabled until the route becomes stale – for example, when a job is added or removed. If you have manually reordered jobs after optimization, a Restore button lets you revert to the optimized order.
Route optimization uses a daily build limit based on your subscription plan. The remaining builds for the day are shown next to the crew schedule heading.
For more details, see Route Optimization.
Overage Stats
At the bottom of the dashboard, the Overage Stats card summarizes how well your job estimates have held up over the last 30 days. This operations-insights card is available on Business and Enterprise plans.
- Overage jobs count – how many completed jobs exceeded their estimated duration.
- Average overage – the average number of extra minutes across those jobs.
- Overage rate – the percentage of completed jobs that went over their estimate.
Below the summary, a table lists recent overage jobs – including the assigned crew – with their estimated vs. actual times and the overage amount. Longer lists are split across pages. If no jobs went over their estimates, the card shows a success message instead.
Tip: If your overage rate is consistently high, consider reviewing your estimated durations. Accurate estimates lead to better scheduling and happier clients.
For more on how overage tracking works, see Jobs – Overage Tracking.
Quick Actions
The top-right corner of the dashboard includes a View Schedule link that takes you directly to the full calendar view. From there you can see the weekly or monthly picture and make bulk scheduling changes.
